A Toy’s Life and Beyond is a social venture based in Cambridge, UK. Its purpose is to teach children about recycling in a fun way. By using the life cycle of a toy, we envisage children can learn about recycling, where materials come from and how they can contribute to the betterment and protection of the environment as well as introducing them to the circular economy concept and sustainability in general.
At present, most of the toys produced are not recyclable and end up on landfills all over the world. This is why we see A Toy’s Life and Beyond making an important contribution to the environment and society in general.
Our aim is to reduce the number of toys, particularly plastic ones, that end up on landfills.
Our mission is to raise awareness about what happens when a toy is no longer needed and the impact its disposal has on the environment.
We are working hard to return to having regular toy swaps and are arranging permanent dates. We will keep you posted. In the meantime, please visit our events page where you can find information on events we are taking part in.
